Note

A usubata is a vase for the Japanese art of flower arranging known as ikebana, which draws emphasis to the shape, line and form of the vessels. The mark 'Echigo no kami saku' is not a signature, but an honorary title that was sometimes given to master craftsmen by a member of the samurai or the aristocracy.
